A fantastic book combining diet and spirituality. This is truly a fantastic reinforcement for me of things I often forget--my mind controls my behavior. For me, there is no greater struggle for living a healthy lifestyle than the battle of the mind. It's so easy to react to my impulses. One of the statements that had the most impact for me is, "To change to a new manner of living, you must consciously choose your actions each moment until the new way of living becomes automatic" That quote is getting taped to my mirror and the wall beside my desk...pronto!!Product details

Great book combining Christian-focused health and ways to "Go Forward".
The state of your health is largely determined by the foods you eat and the amount of exercise you get. As humans we were not designed to eat most of the foods that make up the modern diet. And we were certainly not designed for the sedentary lifestyle that is so common today.
While we need to take care of our bodies with better eating and exercise habits, we also need to tend to our soul or spirit. Our modern lifestyle is very stressful. Stress is the underlying cause of so many of our modern illnesses. For some people, their faith has a very calming effect on their lives. A person’s faith can be the foundation for their life.
If you are looking for a way to improve your health by strengthening your faith, adopting better eating and exercise habits, then Go Forward – 28 Days to Eat, Move, and Enjoy Life God’s Way can be a very helpful guide.
Sheri Traxler, the author of Go Forward, has devoted her life to helping others improve their health through better eating and exercise. Her faith is a strong part of her life and she blends it all together in a well thought out guide.
The book is divided into 4 weekly segments and there is a chapter for each day of the week. Ms. Traxler gives practical advice on eating and exercise, how to change habits, get help and encouragement. She includes Bible verses for each day of the program.
There are numerous questions for the reader to answer. There are ample spaces provided to write out your answers. There are also Challenges that the reader should complete. Again, there are spaces in the book to record your actions/progress.
At the end of each chapter (day) there are a list of Bible verses that Ms. Traxler encourages the reader to study. The reader is encouraged to write out their thoughts and impressions about the Bible verses.
You can view this book as an informational or transformational project. If you simple read the book, you will have gained some additional information. If you are seeking to transform your life, you must follow the steps, do the exercises, write out your actions/results. Your results will be in direct proportion to your effort in implementing the information. The book has a strong faith based component.

I not only enjoyed this book, but it has left an imprint on my life. I needed the daily reinforcement that I was created to be healthy and I am coming to believe that I have the tools to get there. I have always had them, I just did not know it until now.
this book is amazing - after struggling with weight and battling food for most of my life this book has given me a freedom like i have never felt and with daily scripture!!- opinion is one thing experience is totally different- this book is helping me with day to day living and although it was written for a daily reading - i am finding that it takes more than one day to chew on some of these days! - so wonderful to finally have a book that i believe is a real guide to totally living free from bondage of food.
